Your provider will assess your skin and discuss your goals to determine if Thermage FLX is right for you and which areas to treat.
DURING TREATMENT
A handpiece delivers radiofrequency energy to the skin, with integrated cooling and vibration to help aid in patient comfort. The treatment is customized to your skin throughout the procedure, as energy delivery continuously adjusts based on your skin’s needs.
Most treatments take between 30–60 minutes*, depending on the area being treated.

AFTER TREATMENT
There is little to no downtime, and no special aftercare is required. Patients can typically return to normal activities shortly after treatment. Some may experience mild, temporary redness or swelling.
RESULTS THAT EVOLVE OVER TIME
Some patients may notice an initial immediate tightening, with continued visible improvement over the following 2-6 months as natural collagen remodeling occurs.

DOES IT HURT?
The Thermage® FLX system incorporates vibration on the face and body treatments, which has been shown to help aid in patient comfort.
You’ll feel a brief heating sensation when the treatment device’s tip touches your skin, followed by a cooling sensation to help protect your skin and minimize any discomfort.
WHAT ARE THE COMMON SIDE EFFECTS?
Some patients have temporary redness or minor swelling after treatment, but this usually goes away within 24 hours.
HOW LONG BEFORE I CAN GET BACK TO MY NORMAL ACTIVITIES?
Most patients return to their regular activities immediately following treatment. No special care is required afterward, aside from basic skin maintenance and broad-spectrum sunscreens as part of a regular skincare regimen.
DO THERMAGE TIPS HAVE AN EXPIRATION DATE?
Thermage tips are designed to deliver a specific number of pulses. Once a patient has been treated and pulses have been delivered, the tip will no longer be able to be used.
