The CPT energy algorithm simulates TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation), a proven method for pain relief by affecting sensory nerves and interfering with sensory-discriminative pathways, interspersing cooling bursts with radiofrequency heat energy, blocking neural discomfort signals and dramatically increasing patient comfort. NXT

The Thermage NXT includes a high-powered, Pentium-based RF generator delivering up to 400 watts at 6.78 MHz. The system volumetrically heats deep layers of the skin while protecting the epidermis by using our patented combination of monopolar delivery, capacitive coupling and integrated cooling.
