DAILY SKIN CARE
3 STEPS FOR SKIN MAINTENANCE
It’s never too late to integrate a proper skincare regimen into your routine. Follow these three easy steps to prevent damage and keep your skin looking great:
Step 1: CLEANSE DAILY
- Find a cleanser that works well with your skin, and stick with it.
- Avoid bar soaps, which tend to dry out the skin.
- Take off make-up with a proper make-up remover.
- To cleanse your face, wet the skin with warm water and then, with a dime-sized amount of cleanser, start at the bottom of the face and gently work your way up in a circular motion. Rinse with cool or warm water, and pat skin dry.
- Be careful not to cleanse too often, which can also dry out the skin.
Step 2: EXFOLIATE WEEKLY
- Exfoliate once a week to help remove dead skin cells that can make your skin look dull.
- Use a gentle scrub with tiny grains. Big grains can tear the skin, causing more harm than good.
Step 3: MOISTURIZE DAILY
- Use a moisturizer to seal moisture in your skin, especially if your skin feels tight and even if your skin is oily.
- To apply moisturizer, dot your nose, cheeks, forehead and chin, and then massage it in.
- Be careful not to over-moisturize, which can clog your pores.
Do I need to use a toner?
No. Toners—which are meant to remove all remaining traces of oil, make-up and dirt—are unnecessary if you’re using a good cleanser.
